Sunda Otter Civet has length of head and body ranges between 575—675 mm, tail reaches 130—205 mm, and the weight is only 3—5 kg. The distribution of Sunda otter civet comprises Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra and Borneo), Thailand, and northern Vietnam.
Due to rapid population decline which reaches more than 50% over around 15 years, Sunda otter civet is listed as Endangered in IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. The main causes of its decline are habitat destruction such as the conversion of forest to oil palm and degradation of riverine habitat by pollutants.
